CityEV known for their innovative work providing electric vehicle charging infrastructure for local authorities and busess application, partnered with Olson Electronics to provide a full subcontract manufacturing solution.

CityEV are committed to growing the UK’s electric charge point infrastructure in unique ways. They provide EV charge points that can be installed across on-street residential, commercial, or industrial. This is achieved by their Elexon regulatory approval, which means their charge points can be mounted and powered by public streetlights and can also be fitted in other public places such as car parks and public buildings providing a compact and smart solution.

Due to an increasing demand, both nationally and internationally, CityEV turned to Olson Electronics to provide subcontract manufacturing to help keep up with demand. The Olson team manufactured all cable assemblies, assembled and tested sub-assemblies before programming, configuration and final testing ahead of QC and despatch.

Olson Electronics have been manufacturing for over 60 years in the UK, initially providing power distribution units (PDUs) of all sorts of variation to more recently developing new product ranges such as our Lighting Distribution Units and our Olson EV range.

Throughout this period, Olson Electronics have developed a dedicated and experienced workforce and offered these skills as services to other companies.

Over 2000 CityEV charge points are now deployed in Hammersmith. CityEV can now focus on their continued expansion knowing the Olson production team can manufacture their products to their customers’ requirements and satisfaction.

Olson Electronics have a wealth of knowledge and experience in the manufacturing industry and have a fully equipped ISO 9001:2015 manufacturing assembly which includes a wide range of metal fabrication machinery and powder coating facilities.
