Suspended Power Distribution Units
The Olson suspended units are a range of service products allowing overhead power distribution and compressed air. Ideal for use in workshops, factories, or garages and they have also been specified in kitchen environments. The range is split into two variants, one supplied with a fixed chain and the other with our unique retractable system. There can be a maximum of 8x UK socket outlets per unit, one 2 gang socket on each face, and Olson offer the flexibility to provide different socket configurations where required.
The cube shaped suspended units come in two standard sizes to accommodate 1 or 2 gang socket outlets. 13A UK metalclad sockets are a popular option however white moulded sockets, USBs and 16A (IEC 60309/BS 4343) and 32A (IEC 60309/BS 4343) sockets are also available in 110V or 230V.
The flexibility continues as we offer a fixed chain or the retractable system. The chain comes in several different sizes as does the cable, however if you don’t find the cable or chain size to suit, just specify your needs at the point of ordering. Cables are supplied with no plug pre-fitted however if this is something you require, simply make us aware as soon as possible and our production team can do it for you, saving your customers time on-site.
If you or your customer require your suspended power to be retracted out the way when not in use, the retractable system is an ideal solution. The retractor option allows the suspended unit to be lowered to the required working position, locked in place and then retracted back up when it is no longer in use. The black polyamide handle and its ergonomic design makes the rise and fall action both effortless and smooth.
The retractable suspended units have been installed up and down the UK in colleges, workshops and garages as well as being shipped to Saudi Arabia to provide overhead power in a kitchen. The units unique advantage of being able to retract was the key selling point on this occasion as it is able to provide a safe working environment when not in use.
