Olson EV Distribution Boards for EV Chargers

Further British design and manufacturing from Olson will soon see the launch of our brand-new Olson EV distribution boards for EV chargers. The range will incorporate the unique matt:e O-PEN® protection device within a switchgear assembly not limited to a certain amount of outgoing ways.

O-PEN® Protection

The O-PEN® device can detect load imbalances under all conditions including open PEN on three phase PME infrastructures and safely isolates the incoming supply or electrical loads. This helps prevent the risk of electric shocks if dangerous touch voltages occur above 70V in line with BS 7671. Utilising the O-PEN® technology on EV applications saves time and costs during installation, but more importantly offers a safer alternative to Earth electrodes.

Not only does this level of protection negate the need for costly and time-consuming ground works, when monitoring the PEN conductor and in the event of a fault, the 5 pole MCB will trip and automatically reclose once the fault has cleared.

Standard Distribution Boards for EV Chargers

The Olson EV standard range of EV distribution is available in 100A or 200A incomer with 4, 6, 8, 12 or 16 outgoing ways, please note 16 outgoing ways is only available in the 200A version. These boards are complimented by a range of circuit protection devices that can be specified at the time of ordering, devices include MCBs, RCDs and RCBOs.

UK Manufactured

With the expertise of over 60 years UK manufacturing and this level of protection within our Olson EV range means we can accommodate larger numbers of charge points within one distribution board. As a result, installing one board as opposed to multiple. This will reduce the space required for the switchgear side of the EV charger point install. By providing the protection within the switchgear you will reduce the risk of striking buried services during your installation.
